Gordon Moreland EXPOSES Gross Moral Depravity

"How could I, at 61, be one of the younger members of my church"? (Cliff Goldstein, Cliff’s Edge – The Truth of the Universe, Adventist Review, Jan 2017)

Easy, no children, no young men, no young women.

"I can’t understand it, not with

CLIFF'S EDGE

what we have been given"  (Cliff Goldstein, Cliff’s Edge – The Truth of the Universe, Adventist Review, Jan 2017):  "I loved Leaves of Grass"   (Clifford Goldstein, It Is So, Adventist Review, 16 Jan 2014), which chronicles Whitman's seduction of a young man in a field of grass. (Tyler Coates, Walt Whitman’s “Song of Myself”: Just the Gay Parts, Flavorwire, 30 May 2014)

GYC FOUNDER PIPIM ALSO LIKED "YOUTH, STUDENTS, AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS"

Dr. Samuel Long Dong Pipim is exceedingly well endowed.  "He has authored and co-authored more than a dozen books. He has spoken around the world at events for youth, students, and young professionals. He helped begin and has sat on the Board of Directors for the Generation of Youth for Christ organization (GYC), a revival movement of Seventh-day Adventist youth in North America". (Samuel Koranteng-Pipim, Wikipedia)

"A BIBLICAL LOOK AT CONTEMPORARY ISSUES"

"2000:  Earliest known alleged sexual assault of an American college student known by the pseudonym of “Jane Deerfield.”

This incident comes to light in Summer 2011 when she comes forward to a Michigan Conference leader after learning that Pipim is still inviting girls
over for sleepovers, after another girl contacts her. With the conference official Deerfield confronts Pipim in 2011, and he denies her story. The Michigan conference official tells Pipim he believes Deerfield." http://www.drpipimtruth.org/timeline/ (see graphic at right, click to enlarge, for that "Biblical Look at Contemporary Issues")

IN SPITE OF SUCH GIFTED CHURCH LEADERS, MEMBERS HAVE BEEN LEAVING IN DROVES

"Membership losses have grown over the past 15 years."
"This 49 percent apostasy rate is alarming and is a serious drain on the human and financial resources of the church".  (G.T. Ng cited in Andrew McChesney, Every Adventist urged to help stem membership losses, Adventist Review, 10 Oct 2016)

"I can’t understand it", I mean "If we’re not reaching people in the industrialized West with what we have been given, the problem’s not with the gift but with us" (Cliff Goldstein, Cliff’s Edge – The Truth of the Universe, Adventist Review, Jan 2017):

"night of January 22/23 2011:  While in Botswana to give moral lectures at the University, Pipim lures to his hotel room a 20-year-old female student “Nandipa” who helped plan his trip. He had promised to give her some of his recordings, but he delays her until she falls asleep fully clothed. She wakes up to Pipim removing her clothes and forcing himself on her with intercourse. She pleads for him to stop, but he persists, and after the attack, she falls asleep crying. In the early morning, Pipim wakes her up and rapes her again before handing her some of his religious materials and US$100. He sends her out in the pre-dawn to avoid being seen." http://www.drpipimtruth.org/timeline/

"Yes, we have the truth of the universe, but what good is it if we don’t do with it what we have been called to do?" (Cliff Goldstein, Cliff’s Edge – The Truth of the Universe, Adventist Review, Jan 2017)

SO THE YOUNG ADULTS WENT ELSEWHERE

Gordy Moreland ended up at an offshoot cult.

The guru there, Ramesh, sold dildos and other sex toys to finance his Christian education at Southern.

Sound bizarre?  College management thought so.  They expelled this pervert for, and I quote, "bizarre and erratic behavior".

CULTIC REVENGE

Ramesh considered this development, and one fine day announced, There are no more payphones in Talge.  Under cover of darkness, he'd pried

A FORTUNE IN QUARTERS

every single payphone off the wall and packed them out of the dorm.

But when a pervert deals in felonies, things get hot real fast.  Ramesh had to blow town.  Just before leaving, he cleaned out the joint bank account for the dildo business, stiffing his partner Walter Yamniuk out of thousands of dollars.

Soon the money Ramesh stole while at Southern was exhausted, and he needed a job.

COLLEGE DROPOUT IS MASTER OF THE BLUFF

But since Southern threw him out, he didn't have a college degree.  "However, when I told a friend at the General Conference that I couldn’t understand why the church in the West is struggling when we have the truth of the universe, he responded: “A lot of young people are not interested in the truth of the universe. They are interested in what can make a difference in their lives”" (Cliff Goldstein, Cliff’s Edge – The Truth of the Universe, Adventist Review, Jan 2017):  So Ramesh just lied about having a college degree.  Claimed a degree, and got a job.  With all sorts of security clearances.  Even got four daughters.

And then went on to start his own religious cult in Sunshine.

"Fine, but this truth—which covers everything from the best times of the day to eat, to the metaphysical principles of God’s cosmic government—can and should make a difference in people’s lives, if they let it." (Cliff Goldstein, Cliff’s Edge – The Truth of the Universe, Adventist Review, Jan 2017)

And if they don't, the youth will continue to go elsewhere.
